“ One of our favorite Mexican restaurants. We stop in frequently when in Arthur. The food is good quality and some of their options are a bit different than the usual Mexican fare. I love that they have a tilapia option on their lunch menu. Very tasty and perfect size. Their chips and salsa are very good, as is their cheese dip and guacamole. Only had their margaritas a couple of times, but enjoyed those, as well. Service is always good, too. Great to have this place in Arthur. ”

“ This is my second time eating here. Food is very good a little pricey. The wait staff you litterly wait on. Uggg they give you a tiny bowl of salsa. Not the best Mexican food but not the worst. The atmosphere is amazing though beautiful art everywhere. ”

“ I'm the lead drummer in The High School Heads, an ACDC tribute band, and we played our hearts out a gig (a bar mitzvah in nearby Atwood, Illinois), working up a man-sized appetite. Our gracious hosts fed us, of course, but I had a hankering for something a little spicier, and so when I saw La Cascada, I begged D'Arcy, our female bassist, to pull over. She did and the rest is history. They actually have more than your standard Mexican fare, but I can only speak to the tacos and burritos. I'm a big guy--6' 6", three bills, a former grammar school double-striper--and so I had three tacos and two burritos. The meat was a little salty but pretty dang good, and I'd have to rank this place with the best Mexican restaurants in Chicago (where I moved after being paroled). Actually, some might be surprised, but there are Mexican restaurants and taquerias all up and down the I-57 corridor in Illinois, and this is probably the best one. Prices are good, too, and the place is pleasant inside. Definitely worth going here. And as for me? Well, I'm still drumming. A drumming fool, some might say #lol But on a more serious note, I'm still trying to make a life for myself, to rebuild things, to find that elusive sound, to lead my team of drummers to new heights, to strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield. La Cascada down in Arthur, Illinois, has given me some of the needed (and delicious) calories to enact such a project. ”
